The Story Behind the Basket
Every gift that leaves our studio has a person behind it — choosing the products, styling the presentation, and making sure the whole thing feels like it was put together by someone who actually cares. Because it was.
We’re Biggest Little Baskets: a luxury gift basket boutique based in Reno, Nevada, shipping thoughtfully curated gifts across the country. We build gift baskets, gift boxes, gourmet food gifts, floral arrangements, and custom corporate gifting programs — all by hand, all with intention, and none of it generic.
Meet the founder
Biggest Little Baskets was founded by Mel with a simple frustration: why was it so hard to find a gift that looked as thoughtful as it was meant to feel? Too many gift baskets & boxes were built for convenience, not for connection —mass-produced, impersonal, and full of products no one was excited to open.
Mel set out to build something different: a gifting experience where every basket is hand-curated with premium products, styled with real attention to detail, and designed to make the person on the receiving end feel genuinely thought of.
With a background in home décor, floral styling, and brand curation — and a second business, focused on interior styling and home décor — Mel brings a designer’s eye to every gift. That same commitment to quality led to the creation of True Bloom Floral, a proprietary line of ultra-realistic faux florals that now appears in BLB’s floral arrangements and gift collections.
When she’s not building baskets, Mel is sourcing new products, testing gourmet snacks for “quality control” purposes, or debating whether gold ribbon or ivory ribbon makes the better finishing touch. (It depends on the basket. She has opinions.)

We don’t do generic. We never have. Every gift basket and box that leaves our studio is hand-packed with a curated mix of premium, feel-good products your recipient will actually want to use, keep, and remember. We source locally whenever we can, we favor small-batch and artisan makers, and we choose items we’d be thrilled to receive ourselves.
The packaging matters just as much as what’s inside. We style every basket with the same attention you’d give a beautifully set table — because a gift isn’t just a collection of products. It’s a first impression, a gesture, a moment. And we think that moment should look and feel like someone put real thought into it. Because we did.

We also offer a growing collection of floral arrangements and real touch floral stems through our True Bloom Floral line.
