The Home and Host Gift Box is built for that stretch. A medium travertine stone tray for the counter or the console, and a 100% baby alpaca throw in Truffle or Porcelain for the sofa. One piece for the house, one for whoever ends up on it.

The Unboxing Experience

The throw is what the recipient reaches for first. Baby alpaca is softer than people expect, and it shifts the tone of the unboxing from appreciation to something closer to comfort. Why We Chose These Pieces

• Baby alpaca because it's softer and lighter than wool, warmer than cotton, and naturally hypoallergenic. It's the throw people keep on the sofa year-round, not the one that goes in a closet in April.
• Two colors, both neutral. Truffle is a deep mushroom brown that grounds a light room. Porcelain is a soft ivory that lightens a dark one. Either belongs in nearly any interior.

1. Will an alpaca throw match a house I've never seen?

   Yes, and that's exactly why we chose these two colors. Truffle is a deep neutral brown that sits comfortably against leather, wood, and warm paint. Porcelain is a soft ivory that suits white walls, light upholstery, and modern interiors. Neither is a color anyone has to design around.

2. What's the difference between baby alpaca and regular alpaca or wool?

   Baby alpaca is the finest grade of alpaca fiber, not the age of the animal, which surprises most people. It's softer than standard alpaca, lighter and warmer than sheep's wool, and naturally free of lanolin, so it works for recipients with wool sensitivities. It's the reason this throw feels the way it does.

3. Is $350 appropriate for a closing gift?

   For a mid-range to upper-range transaction, a repeat client, or a referral source, yes. This is the level where a closing gift stops being a gesture and becomes something the client mentions to other people. For a first-time buyer on a modest home, Settle In at $150 is better proportioned. For a luxury transaction, look at Level 4 or Level 5.

4. Should I choose Truffle or Porcelain?

   When you know the home, match its temperature: Truffle for warm, Porcelain for light. When you don't, go Porcelain. Ivory is the most forgiving color in any room. Truffle is the pick when you want the gift to look richer in the photograph, which matters more often than people admit.

5. How is Home and Host different from The Well-Lived Home?

   Home and Host, at $350, pairs the ten-inch tray with the alpaca throw. The Well-Lived Home, at $500, moves to the largest fourteen-inch tray in the series and adds a cut crystal bud vase alongside the throw. Choose Home and Host when two strong pieces are the right scale; choose Well-Lived when the gift needs to fill a coffee table.

Local Delivery

We currently offer local delivery within the Reno, Nevada area, approximately 20 miles from our location, for a $15 delivery fee per address.

Local delivery is a wonderful option for gift baskets, gift boxes, and select local orders that need to arrive with a little extra care. Please make sure the delivery address is accurate and complete before placing your order.

We ship to the contiguous United States for a flat $9.99 standard shipping fee.

Premade Floral Arrangement Shipping

Our custom premade floral arrangements ship directly from our trusted partner vendor. This helps us offer a wider selection of ready-to-gift floral pieces while making sure each arrangement is packed appropriately for transit.

Because these arrangements ship separately from partner inventory, they may arrive in a separate shipment from other items in your order. Processing and transit times may vary slightly depending on the arrangement, availability, and destination.

Rush Shipping

Need your gift to arrive sooner? We offer a rush shipping option for an additional $50 when available. This covers moving your order to the front of the production line, not the carrier's fee.

For express delivery of two days or less, shipping is billed at actual carrier cost, calculated by our team for your specific order and destination. Weight, size, and how far it's going all move that number, so please reach out before you place the order and we'll give you a real figure rather than a guess.

Rush availability may depend on the item, order size, destination, and current production or packing schedule. For custom gifts, large orders, or specialty items, we recommend reaching out first so we can confirm the best timeline.

Processing Times

If a ship date is not selected or requested at checkout, orders typically ship within 3–4 business days from the date of purchase.

In November and December, plan on 5–7 business days. Everything is still made by hand, and there are simply more hands' worth of it during the holidays. Order early and you'll never notice the difference.

Large custom orders, specialty gifts, corporate orders, and more detailed gift baskets and boxes may require additional processing time depending on the size, complexity, product availability, and final presentation.

Corporate orders scale with their size. Fifteen baskets is a different week than fifty. We'll give you a firm timeline when we confirm your order, and we'd rather quote you honestly than quote you fast.

Tracking Information

Once your order ships, tracking information will be provided so you can follow the delivery and know when to keep an eye out.

If your order includes multiple items or a premade floral arrangement shipping from our partner vendor, you may receive more than one tracking number.

Weather & Carrier Delays

Once your order leaves our hands, it's in the carrier's — and the carrier answers to the weather. Snow over the Sierra, ice storms, fog, and the general chaos of late December can all slow a package down, and none of it is something we can hurry along.

We'll always help you track it, and we'll always answer the email. We can build you a beautiful basket or gift box, but we cannot negotiate with the jet stream.

Delivery Responsibility

Once an order is marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility for the package is released. We are not responsible for stolen packages, packages left unattended, weather exposure after delivery, or orders delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout.

Please double-check all shipping details before completing your purchase, especially when sending gifts. We are very good at creating thoughtful baskets and boxes, but sadly, we cannot reroute a package once it is already on its way.

Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses

If an address is entered incorrectly — it happens more often than you'd think, usually the sender's own address — or is missing important details such as an apartment, suite, gate code, business name, or recipient information, the order may be delayed, returned, or delivered incorrectly.

Additional shipping fees may apply if an order needs to be reshipped due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout.

A Note About Gift Timing

If you are sending a gift for a specific date, we recommend ordering as early as possible. We will always do our best to meet requested timing, but carrier delays, weather, holidays, and address issues can affect delivery once a package leaves our hands.

For time-sensitive gifts, local delivery or rush shipping may be the best option when available.

Every basket is built by hand, one at a time, for one person. No algorithm, no assembly line, no warehouse in Ohio. Because of that, all sales are final — no refunds, returns, or exchanges on gift baskets, gift boxes, or shop items.

If something inside isn't quite your taste, pass it along. A good gift rarely stays put anyway.

If something arrives damaged

We'll replace it.

Email contact@biggestlittlebaskets.com within three days of delivery, subject line Damaged Item. Include one photo of the item and one of the shipping box — our carrier requires both to file a claim, and they're immune to our charm without them.

Three days, two photos. That's all we ask.

Corporate & custom orders

Custom work starts the moment you say yes. We source the pieces, hold the inventory, and begin curating — often weeks before anything ships.

As such, corporate and custom orders require a non-refundable 30% deposit to reserve your place on the calendar. It goes straight into your order, not into a void. If plans change, we'll do what we can to move dates, but the deposit stays with the work it's already funded.

Quantity changes are welcome up to 14 days before delivery. And if someone gets added to the list after that, tell us anyway — we'll do everything we can to make room. Somebody always gets added to the list.

The balance is due before shipping or delivery.
